1 / 10A one-time digital download for freelancers, consultants and small studios who hold a first call with a prospective client: a question bank with 40 questions in 8 groups (background, goals, problem, scope, timeline, budget, decision makers, working together), a printable notes sheet, the same sheet filled in with a fictional example, a red-flag checklist with 10 signals and what to ask or do about each, and a wrap-up page with 5 steps to close the call, an after-call checklist and next-steps fields. A TXT file adds all questions and 20 ready phrases for opening the call, tricky moments, closing and follow-up messages. Everything is in English, Italian, Spanish, French and German, as printable PDF (A4 and US Letter) and as TXT to copy and edit. It is a set of conversation aids, not a contract, not legal advice, and it promises no result.
The problem it solves
A first call often ends with a nice chat but missing facts: nobody said who decides, the budget stayed vague, the scope kept growing and the next step was left open.
Who it is for
Freelancers, consultants, designers, developers and small studios who want a clear structure for the first call with a prospect instead of improvising.
What you get
- 40 questions in 8 groups cover goals, problem, scope, timeline, budget and decision makers, so you tick the 8 to 12 that matter for each prospect
- A one-page notes sheet to fill in during the call, plus the same page filled in with a fictional example (a website refresh for a small bakery)
- A red-flag checklist with 10 signals, each with something to ask or do, so you notice problems early without judging the client
- A wrap-up page: close the call in 5 steps, an after-call checklist and fields for who sends what and by when
- 20 ready phrases in 4 groups: opening the call, tricky moments, closing and follow-up messages, with [placeholders] to replace
- English, Italian, Spanish, French and German in one download, so you can run the call in your client's language
How you use it
- Download and unzip your purchase and open your language folder.
- Before the call, read the question bank and tick the 8 to 12 questions that matter most for this prospect.
- During the call, write on the notes sheet and watch the red-flag checklist. Close with the wrap-up page.
- Within a day, send a short follow-up: copy a phrase from the TXT and replace every [placeholder].
Questions
Which languages are included?
English, Italian, Spanish, French and German. Each language has its own folder with the same set of files. The translations are not native-speaker reviewed.
Do I have to ask all 40 questions?
No. The bank is a menu: before each call you tick the 8 to 12 questions that matter most for that prospect, and there is space for your own.
What is the difference from a proposal kit?
This kit is for the call itself, before you write anything. The Freelance Proposal & Pitch Outline Kit is for the document you send after the call, and the Client Onboarding & Handoff Kit starts after the client says yes. Both are sold separately.
Can I edit the PDF?
No, the PDFs are for reading and printing. Copy the texts from the TXT file into your own document and edit them there.
Does it guarantee that a prospect becomes a client?
No. It helps you ask better questions and keep clear notes. Whether a prospect becomes a client depends on many things outside this kit.

Good to know
- Not legal, tax or financial advice, and not a contract. Rules on recording calls, data protection, contracts and payment differ by country: ask permission before you record anything and adapt every term to the law that applies to you.
- The kit promises no result: no call is guaranteed to lead to a client or a sale. The names, dates and amounts in the example are fictional.
- The translations (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German) are not native-speaker reviewed; have a native speaker read anything you send.
- The PDFs are for reading and printing, not editable documents. Edit the texts in the TXT file.
- It covers the first call only. Proposals, quotes and onboarding after the deal are not included: they are covered by separate MAXORI products.
- No Word or Canva file is included. For your own use in your own business; no resale or redistribution.
This is a downloadable digital product, not online software. It does not need an account and is not part of the MAXORI Software subscriptions.
