Real screens of the product with fictional example data. The file you download is editable or printable as described above.

A one-time digital download for freelancers, consultants and small agencies who prepare the first call with a prospective client: a question bank of 36 questions in six themes (goals, scope, budget, timeline, decision makers, past experience), a one-page call notes sheet to fill in during the call, the same sheet filled in with a fictional example, a clarify-first checklist of 8 points and a follow-up planning block, and a TXT wording bank with 25 ready phrases for opening the call, asking about budget and timeline, handling unclear answers, ending the call and the follow-up message. Everything is in English, Italian, Spanish, French and German, as printable PDF (A4 and US Letter) and as TXT to copy and edit. It is a set of preparation aids, not legal, financial or business advice.

The problem it solves

A first call with a prospect goes fast: you forget to ask about budget or who decides, your notes are scattered, and the follow-up message takes longer than it should.

Who it is for

Freelancers, consultants, designers, developers and small agencies who talk to a prospective client before sending a proposal and want a clear set of questions and a place to take notes.

What you get

  • 36 questions in six themes (goals, scope, budget, timeline, decision makers, past experience): tick the 8 to 10 that matter for this prospect
  • A one-page call notes sheet with space for the client's goal, scope, budget and timeline, decision makers, past experience, open points and next steps
  • The same sheet filled in with a fictional example (a website refresh for a small bakery), so you can see how to take notes
  • A clarify-first checklist of 8 points, worded as things to ask or confirm, not as verdicts on the client
  • 25 ready phrases in 5 groups: opening the call, asking about budget and timeline, when an answer is unclear, ending the call and the follow-up message
  • English, Italian, Spanish, French and German in one download, so you can prepare calls with clients in their language

How you use it

  1. Download and unzip your purchase and open your language folder.
  2. Before the call, read the question bank and tick the 8 to 10 questions that matter for this prospect.
  3. During the call, fill in the one-page notes sheet (print the PDF, or copy the text from the TXT).
  4. After the call, go through the checklist, copy the follow-up phrases, replace every [placeholder] and send your summary the same day.

Questions

Which languages are included?

English, Italian, Spanish, French and German. Each language has its own folder with the same set of files. The translations are not native-speaker reviewed.

Do I have to ask all 36 questions?

No. The bank is a menu: before the call, tick the 8 to 10 questions that matter for this prospect and keep the rest for later calls.

What does the checklist tell me about the client?

It does not judge the client. Its 8 points are things to ask about or confirm, such as an unclear budget or an unknown decision maker. It cannot predict how a client will behave.

How is it different from a proposal or onboarding kit?

This kit is for the first call, before a proposal is written. Outlining the proposal is covered by the Freelance Proposal & Pitch Outline Kit, and what happens after the client says yes by the Client Onboarding Handoff Kit, both sold separately.

Can I edit the PDF?

No, the PDFs are for reading and printing. Copy the texts from the TXT file into your own document and edit them there.

What is included

  • Five language folders (EN, IT, ES, FR, DE), each with an 8-page PDF on A4 and on US Letter
  • Question bank: 36 questions in 6 themes (2 pages)
  • One-page call notes sheet (blank) and the same page filled with a fictional example
  • Clarify-first checklist (8 points) and a follow-up planning block
  • Wording bank: 25 phrases in 5 groups (2 pages)
  • A TXT file with all of the above as plain text, and START-HERE.txt in each folder and one at the top of the ZIP

Requirements

A PDF reader and a printer, or any text editor for the TXT file. Print at actual size on A4 or US Letter paper. No Word file is included and the PDFs are not fillable forms.

Version 1.0

Good to know

  • Not legal, financial or business advice, and not a contract. No question list can tell you for sure whether a client will pay, stay or be easy to work with: the checklist lists things to clarify, not proof of anything. Rules on contracts, payment, deposits and consumer protection differ by country, so adapt every term to your local law and have important agreements reviewed by a qualified professional.
  • The kit promises no result and sets no prices. The names, dates and amounts in the example are fictional.
  • The translations (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German) are not native-speaker reviewed; have a native speaker read your final messages.
  • The PDFs are for reading and printing, not editable documents. Edit the texts in the TXT file.
  • Proposal outlines, client onboarding and handoff checklists, contract checklists and quote calculation are not included: they are covered by separate MAXORI products.
  • No Word or Canva file is included. For your own use in your own business; no resale or redistribution.

This is a downloadable digital product, not online software. It does not need an account and is not part of the MAXORI Software subscriptions.
